MRI scans have confirmed that the 31-year-old has suffered a tear in his hamstring, which is likely to sideline him for the semi-final second leg and several weeks thereafter Cristiano Ronaldo could miss Real Madrid’s Champions League decider against Manchester City next week after tests confirmed that they forward has suffered a muscle tear, Goal understands. Before Tuesday's goalless draw at the Etihad Stadium, Ronaldo underwent an MRI scan which subsequently confirmed that he had suffered a tear in his hamstring. The 31-year-old could now miss several games, including next week’s Champions League semi-final second-leg clash against City at the Santiago Bernabeu. Ronaldo, who has scored 47 goals in 45 appearances this season, suffered the injury during the 3-0 victory over Villarreal on April 20. Having failed to even make the matchday squad against City on Tuesday, Zinedine Zidane admitted that Ronaldo was not certain to be fit for next week’s crunch clash. "I said they were 100 percent, but I did say there was still the training session to go," said the Madrid coach. "Cristiano felt something after that. That is all there is to it. We didn’t want to make things worse."
