Romelu Lukaku turns his back at Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku turns his back at Manchester United: Romelu Lukaku turns his back at Manchester United
Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku has remained in Belgium despite Manchester United expecting him back at Carrington on Tuesday, Sky Sports News understands.

Lukaku has been in Belgium training with Anderlecht with United's permission, but that mutual decision was only for Monday, a scheduled day off for the striker.

Italian clubs Juventus and Inter Milan have both been interested in the 26-year-old this summer but neither have been successful with their approaches, with United valuing him at £79m.

According to Sky sources, United have rejected a new Inter Milan bid of £68m including add ons, increasing the prospects of the Belgian staying at Old Trafford.

Manchester United did not comment when asked about the new bid by Sky Sports.

A move to Juve collapsed at the weekend after Manchester United ended their interest in Paulo Dybala, who was set to join United in a swap deal with Lukaku - a move which Sky In Italy reported last week had been agreed in principle.

It is understood Solskjaer is prepared to let Lukaku leave before Thursday's transfer deadline and is willing to utilise emerging young players such as Mason Greenwood in attacking positions.

The forward, who has three years left on his current deal at Old Trafford, has 42 goals in 96 appearances for United since arriving for £75m from Everton in 2017.

See What Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea Is Saying About His Future

Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea, has said he is “really happy” at the club, amid speculation he could sign a new contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
De Gea has a year left on his contract, with the club also holding an option to extend it by another 12 months until 2020.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League opener against Young Boys in Switzerland on Wednesday night, the 27-year-old said he will definitely commit his future to the club but insisted he is happy where he is.
“I feel really loved at his club from the fans.
“I am really happy to play for this club, one of best clubs in world, so for me it’s really good to be part of this club,” De Gea told a news conference at Stade de Suisse on Tuesday.

Klopp Reveals His Best Player Against PSG

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has hailed Danny Sturridge after the Reds beat PSG 3-2 at Anfield in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Sturridge and James Milner gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead before Kylian Mbappe equalised for PSG.
Roberto Firmino’s late goal, however, put the game to bed.
The late win puts Liverpool top of Group C after Napoli could only draw with Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.
Klopp was particularly happy with the contribution of goalscorer, Sturridge, who started his first game of the season, and his first Champions League match in six years.
“Daniel played a super game,” he told post match conference.
“I have never seen him as fit as he is in the moment.
“He was everywhere. He helped left and right and he was in the box when he was needed.
“Then you can bring Bobby Firmino on and that helps a lot. I loved his goal celebration.”

Pochettino Speaks After Loss Against Inter Milan “Don’t Disrespect Me”-

Mauricio Pochettino accused journalists of disrespecting his players after Tottenham opened their Champions League campaign with a 2-1 defeat at Inter Milan.
Spurs were on course for a win at the San Siro after Christian Eriksen put them ahead, but they capitulated as goals from Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino in the final eight minutes of action gave Inter the points.
It was the first time Tottenham have lost three times in a row under Pochettino, who opted to leave World Cup semi-finalists Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld at home due to “technical reasons”.
The Argentine was asked whether he regretted not bringing the pair to Milan, a question he did not take well.
“Against Watford and against Liverpool, they were on the pitch. Wow, what a question, such an easy question eh? You know, easy target,” he said. “(It’s) easy to talk about the players that aren’t here.
“I think we need to talk about football. Because, you know I think you force me to say something that is not good. You disrespect the players that today showed better qualities than the opponent.
“Why disrespect the players that aren’t on the pitch? You can blame me and say, ‘Gaffer, you were so, so rubbish in your selection of the starting XI’. But please don’t disrespect the players who were playing, because it’s my decision. Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld… we have 25 players.
“And you believe that and sometimes you behave like you ask me with your question, that you can play only 11 and the other 13 or 14 players are rubbish, are s**t. Sorry, but I am so disappointed because I am a person that respects you a lot and the players.
“When my decision is to play with XI, you must respect my decision because I am the manager. You show too much disrespect for the players who play in the position as the players you have given me the names of now.
“I don’t understand. Sorry. You are so kind people, but I don’t understand why. Why? Please. To be a player is so difficult, and of course for me it is easier on the touchline. I don’t run. It is so painful to hear when some people are not here, and you judge in that way and you kill players who give their best. It’s so unfair.”

Ethan Ampadu Signs Five Years Contract With Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder, Ethan Ampadu on Wednesday signed a new five-year contract extension with the club.
The Wales international is still battling to get into the Blues manager, Maurizio Sarri’s first team squad this season.
Recall that the 18-year-old had said that he is working hard to show Sarri that he can be included in his starting XI.
“I’m really proud and happy,” ESPN quoted Ampadu as saying.
“I’m looking forward to the next five years and all I have got to do now is continue to work hard, and hopefully good things will happen.”

Paris Saint-Germain Coach Finally Reveals The Reason Why His Team Lost

Paris Saint-Germain coach, Thomas Tuchel has explained why his side were defeated 3-2 against Liverpool in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash played at Anfield Stadium.
Goals from Daniel Sturridge, James Milner and Roberto Firmino ensured victory for the Reds as goals from Thomas Meunier and Kylian Mbappe were not enough to get a point for the visitors.
Tuchel, however, said his side lost to Jurgen Klopp’s men because his players gave away the ball too easily during the second half of the encounter.
He also praised his players for putting in a great performance during the first half of the match, adding that the ‘result was not logical or correct’.
“Maybe the score didn’t tell the story of the game,” Mirror UK quoted Tuchel as saying at post-match.
“Right at the end, we had the chance with Julian Draxler that could have won it before Liverpool scored.
“We put in a great performance in the first half. For me, the result was not logical or correct.
“We conceded two goals in the first half but never at any point did we lose our confidence.
“We played with a lot of bravery and mental strength. Maybe in the second half we gave the ball away too easily but this is Anfield, Jurgen Klopp has worked with his team for three years, Liverpool press you and make it hard. But we never lost our shape.
“Through our efforts we managed to get the equalising goal. But the end was very, very tough.”

Reason Why Champions League Kick-Off Time Changed

The reason behind the decision of the European football governing, UEFA, to change the kick-off time of matches in the Champions League has been revealed.
Previous matches in time past mostly starts at 7.45pm with the exception of matches that are been playing in locations like Russia.
Some matches in the UEFA Champions League this season will start by 5.55pm and 8pm.
Two matches will take place by 5.55pm, with the remaining six at 8pm through the group stage.
Barcelona and Tottenham are first to feature in the early kick-offs with the clubs facing PSV Eindhoven and Inter respectively at 5.55pm.
According to Express Sports, the reason for this change by UEFA is to allow fans to be able to watch matches due to difference in time.
It’s also hoped that the change will boost international figures resulting in increased revenue.
While the plan may work worldwide, it might affect European fans who might need to rush home from work so has not to miss the kick-off.
For fans in Australia and Asia, a 5.55pm kick-off time will see the match begin at 12.55am instead of 2.45am.

Klopp: Liverpool Should not Feared Paris Saint-Germain

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes his side shouldn’t be scared of any side as they look to go one step further in the Champions League after reaching the final last season.
The visit of Paris Saint-Germain to Anfield on Tuesday gives Klopp’s men an early chance to show their run to the final in Kiev was no fluke, particularly after a summer of what already appears shrewd business in the transfer market.
Liverpool have won all five of their opening Premier League games after spending a then-world record fee for a goalkeeper on Alisson Becker, bolstering their midfield options in Naby Keita and Fabinho and adding extra back up to a prolific front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane with Xherdan Shaqiri.
“The players we spoke to in the summer or a little earlier, they were different talks to those I had the previous year or before,” said Klopp, who has transformed Liverpool’s fortunes in just under three years in charge.
“In the moment, it is a different club to the club I joined when I came in.
“We are in the place where we want to be without being satisfied with anything. We are a challenger and we are a challenger again for pretty much everything, especially in each game.
“I don’t think there is any game in the world where you would say beforehand, ‘No chance Liverpool,’ which is good.”
Liverpool upset Premier League champions Manchester City and scored five against Porto and Roma on their way to the final before losing to Real Madrid, which Klopp believes has restored some of the fear factors of going to Anfield on a European night.
“I think we got a lot of respect because of the way we played last season and I think everyone who saw the final saw that we could have won it against a side in a completely different moment,” he added.
“They see the games we played. They saw City, they saw Rome, they saw Porto. They saw so many games which we played in a really good way. There was a lot of respect.
“The best way is when you are experienced you use your new knowledge and start again, like a virgin if you want.”

John Aldridge Reveals Why Neymar Can’t Be Like Messi, Pele & Others

Former Liverpool striker, John Aldridge has explained why Paris Saints-Germain, PSG, forward, Neymar will never be rated as one of all-time greats alongside the likes of Brazil legend, Pele, Argentina legend, Diego Maradona and Barcelona ace, Lionel Messi.
The 60-year-old believes that Neymar is the ‘biggest cheat in world football’ and that is why the 26-year-old will never be on the same level as Pele, Maradona or Messi.
Aldridge said this ahead of Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League Group C opener against PSG at Anfield on Tuesday evening.
“Liverpool have to be careful when they face Neymar because for me he’s the biggest cheat in world football,” Aldridge wrote in the Liverpool Echo.
“I couldn’t believe some of his diving and playacting at the World Cup in Russia.
“He’s one of the most gifted players but he lets football down with his antics.
“Liverpool have to be canny because the PSG attacker will be doing everything he can to gain an unfair advantage at Anfield on Tuesday night.
“We need the referee to be strong and we need our defenders to avoid any silly challenges.
“When you’ve got that amount of skill, you don’t need to behave like Neymar does and it’s sad to see.
“It’s the reason why he will never be rated as one of the all-time greats, alongside the likes of Pele, Maradona and Messi.”

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis To Join AC Milan

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has agreed to leave the Premier League club and join Serie A side AC Milan.
The 53-year-old will depart the Gunners by the end of October, and take up his new role in Italy on December 1.
Gazidis will be replaced by head of football relations Raul Sanllehi and chief commercial officer Vinai Venkatesham, who become head of football and managing director respectively.
In a message to Arsenal supporters, Gazidis said: “For the last 10 years I have been privileged to dedicate myself to this great club.
“Arsenal is entering a new chapter and I have done everything I can to ensure that it is strongly placed to take on that challenge. We have rebuilt the off-field capability of the club, which is necessary for prolonged success in modern football
“I know many will think this is a strange time to be leaving but I believe it is the right time for me and for the club. Change and succession is not only inevitable for a club like Arsenal, it is necessary if it is continually to keep moving forward.
“Although it is very hard to do – the hardest decision of my life – I believe that, after 10 years, it is the right time for me to step aside to allow new leadership, energy and ideas to take the club forward into this exciting new era.
“I am excited to see what the future holds for this great club and I am energised by a new personal challenge with AC Milan. I am now looking forward to joining one of the world’s other great clubs, and working to restore it to its rightful place in football.”

Ferdinard Speaks Out ‘Jose Mourinho Does NOT Trust Rashford’

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, claims Marcus Rashford does not have Jose Mourinho’s complete faith.
Ferdinand, a Champions League winner with the Old Trafford side, believes the young England striker needs a regular place in the United attack.
The former United-star-turned BT Sport pundit said: “I look at it from Rashford’s point of view.
“If I am sitting there as Marcus Rashford and someone says to me, ‘Do you think your manager believes in you as his main, best striker and that he will build his team around you?’ I would say, ‘No. Because I am not starting every game.’
“You ask any player. Coming on as a sub — that means nothing.”
Rashford is expected to feature in United’s Champions League trip to Swiss side Young Boys on Wednesday.

PREMIER LEAGUE!! Arsenal Star Mesut Ozil Reveals The Footballer That Helped His Career

Image result for mesut ozil
Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil, has named Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo as the football star that made him to become a better player today.
Ozil played alongside Ronaldo at Real Madrid, with the pair striking up a productive partnership at the Santiago Bernabeu during their time with the Champions League holders.
The ex-German international said he has ‘never seen a person like’ the Portuguese captain, adding that the 33-year-old made him who he is today.
Both Ozil and Ronaldo spent three years together at Real, winning both the La Liga and the Copa del Rey trophies during their time at the Spanish capital.
Ozil, however, believes that Ronaldo is one of the world’s greatest player of all-time.
Speaking about Ronaldo, Ozil told Arsenal’s official website: “He [Ronaldo] works really hard and is the first guy to get into the training ground, then the last one to leave.”
“He’s very professional and always wants to win, even in the training games. Of course I was looking at what he was doing, even something as simple as just looking at his shooting technique.
“I really enjoyed playing with him because he made me better on the pitch and he’s a great guy off it, too. I gave him loads of assists and he doesn’t need me to remind him of that!
“It was easy to play with him because you didn’t need to create a lot of chances. Even if I just gave him two passes, he would score two goals and that’s why he’s one of the greatest footballers who’s ever lived.”

Klopp gives Firmino injury updates

LIVERPOOL manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is still in the dark over Roberto Firmino’s involvement at Anfield against Pairs Saint-Germain tomorrow.
The Brazil international was forced off in the Reds’ 2-1 win against Tottenham on Saturday with a nasty looking eye injury.
While the club confirmed that the 26-year-old suffered no serious injury, Klopp has cast doubts over his involvement against the French champions in the Champions League.
Asked in the pre-match press conference whether he thought Firmino would be fine to start against the French champions tomorrow, Klopp said: “No, not definitely. If the game was today, no chance.
“But tomorrow there’s a chance. We were all shocked [after the game]. When we made at contact at the hospital it was a relief.
“We are obviously in close contact with him and it improved already – but in this moment I can’t say if he will be available for tomorrow.
“He will be fine, we just don’t know exactly when. Another 30 hours roundabout to the game. We will see how it develops.”
And the former Borussia Dortmund boss revealed that two other forwards, Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi are also struggling for fitness.
“We have new injury concerns,” he added. “We tried to give Divock and Dom a bit of practice [for the U23s]; they used it, they scored, but it looks like both of them will not be available for tomorrow.
“It’s not too serious. Div has a little bit of an ankle [injury]. He tried this morning and didn’t really work out too well, so he will try again tomorrow morning.
“With Dom, we have to see. He got a knock and we will see how that develops.
“So not good news in the moment, but we have a lot of players available and when I saw the players yesterday, there were not any other issues.”

Asked whether Daniel Sturridge is ready to start the game should Firmino not make it, Klopp replied: “He will be ready. If we are short of options, he will be ready. But there’s no issue with the first line-up.”

Hazard could score 40 goals every Season if he was at Liverpool or Man City

That’s the opinion of Stuart Pearce who believes the Blues won’t be competitive enough for the Belgian to score that volume of goals.
Hazard netted a hat-trick on Saturday against Cardiff as Chelsea maintained their winning start to the Premier League.
And that led to Maurizio Sarri saying the forward should aim score 40 times this campaign.

“We have spoken and I told him he can score 40 goals,” he said.

Harry Kane DENIES accusations bad form down to tiredness

The England captain looked out of sorts again on Saturday as Tottenham lost 2-1 to Liverpool at Wembley.
But Kane insists his underwhelming start to the season is not down to a World Cup hangover.
“People are always going to look for stuff, especially when you are a big part of the team and someone who is there to get the goals,” said Kane.
“As a team we can all do better. As the striker you get spoken about more.
“I feel sharp and fit and if I wasn’t the manager would not be picking me.
“He believes in me, I believe in myself and hopefully I can score a couple of goals on Tuesday and it will be put to bed.”
Kane has played 164 games for club and country in the last three seasons and has two goals to his name this term after finishing the World Cup as the tournament’s top scorer.
Spurs had nine players at the World Cup until the final weekend, including Kane.
But ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League trip to Inter Milan, Kane insists that is no excuse for back-to-back defeats to Watford and Liverpool.
“I know we won our first three games but we were saying between ourselves that we can do better,” said Kane.
“The Man Utd game we won 3-0 but we could have played better and the Watford game was disappointing because of the attitude and energy, and it was unlike us to lose like that.
“We will bounce back. Through the season we are one of he fittest squads and we will continue to be this year.

“The gaffer believed we had a strong squad and he did not want to sign payers for the sake of it. It showed huge trust in the players and we have to repay it.”

Andres Iniesta Deserved To Win Ballon D’Or – Zinedine Zidane

Zinedine Zidane has hailed Andres Iniesta following the midfielder’s announcement that he is to leave Barcelona next month.
Andres Iniesta will bring down the curtain on a career at Camp Nou that spans 22 years to join an unnamed team in the Chinese Super League.
Zidane has admitted to being a fan of Iniesta’s both on and off the field, and is adamant that the 33-year-old was deserving of at least one Ballon d’Or award during his hugely successful stint in Catalonia.
“It is difficult because if you like football, seeing a player like him leave is tough,” he told reporters. “I don’t think of him as a Barcelona player – I see him simply as a football player.
“I’ve come across him two or three times and he is a charming, very reserved man and I like players who can do everything on the field but are that calm off it.
“I only have good words for him, admiration for his football and I wish him the best as a player for the future but above all, as a person.
“We’re talking about someone who made everyone dream and he deserved to win the Ballon d’Or, especially in the year he won the World Cup. It was clear then that he deserved it.”

Premier League! Liverpool 0 – 0 Stoke City (RESULT)

Liverpool passed time between Champions League semi-final assignments with a 0-0 draw against Stoke City that nudged their opponents closer to relegation from the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah spurned a glorious early chance to net his 44th goal of the season and Danny Ings saw a goal ruled out for offside before half-time.
Nevertheless, for all Jurgen Klopp’s pre-match insistence upon the importance of their weekend engagement, it was a fitful showing from Liverpool, who will look to press home a 5-2 advantage over Roma in the Italian capital on Wednesday.
Stoke boss Paul Lambert continued his proud record of having never lost at Anfield in six visits and the well-drilled away team never looked likely to endure the sort of ordeal on the road that has seen them concede seven at Manchester City and five apiece to Tottenham and Chelsea this season.
Nevertheless, anything over than victories over fellow strugglers Crystal Palace and Swansea is unlikely to save Stoke, who almost found an 88th-minute winner heavily against the run of play through captain Ryan Shawcross. At this stage, even that might not be enough.
