‘Governor Ambode Took Our Jobs’- Angry PSP Operators In Lagos Voice Out

The Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria (AWAM), on Tuesday announced its support for one of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirants, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The aspirant is the Managing Director of Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), a parastatal under Lagos State Government.
He is contesting for the ticket against his principal, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
At a press conference in their Mushin office, the PSP operators said they believed that Sanwo-Olu would restore their jobs, which the incumbent administration took.
The Vice Chairman, David Oriyomi, flanked by other executive members, explained that the decision to back Sanwo-Olu, was in the interest of about 25,000 workers engaged by the 350 PSP operators, who had lost their jobs.
Oriyomi said the association boasts of no fewer than 150,000 voters at the grassroots, who would be mobilised to help Sanwo-Olu to achieve his governorship ambition.
He said, “This injustice should not be allowed to continue, the health and well-being of residents of Lagos must be paramount to all.
“It is, therefore, with great hope that we welcome the emergence of Sanwo-Olu, who has promised to run a participatory government.
“For this reason, we, the Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria, have decided to align ourselves with Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and pledge our full support to him in the forthcoming elections.
“This decision was taken in the best interest of the environment. We remain committed to servicing the great residents of the centre of excellence.
“It is time to clean up our city; we did it before, we are able and willing to actualise the Lagos of our dreams.
“We did not just choose to support Sanwo-Olu; we looked at the aspirants. We have the incumbent, we have Femi Hamzat and we have Sanwo-Olu.
“The incumbent, we have seen what he has to offer when it comes to waste management in the state – there is nothing he can offer us.
“Then Hamzat, we have not heard much from his camp; but Sanwo-Olu named the issue of the environment as one of the critical issues that he is going to tackle,” Oriyomi said.

SHOCKING: Nonsense Money Monger – Ambode Insults Tinubu

One Tinubu loyalist recalls the moment The Jagaban made up his mind not to back Ambode for a second term.
“Ambode usually ends phone calls in a rude fashion. Only recently, he did it again, except that he actually forgot to end the call. He was on the phone with Tinubu and stopped talking abruptly, but forgot to end the call. He was now telling his aides that; ‘what does he (Tinubu) want again?
“Always disturbing me with calls. If he wants money, just give him. Nonsense money monger. If he wants two billion, give him four billion. The agbaya…I will retire him’…and on and on he went.
“He didn’t know that Tinubu was still listening on the other end of the line. Tinubu immediately put the phone on speaker mode and called us (his aides) to come to listen to what the governor was saying. That was the day we all knew Ambode wouldn’t be getting Jagaban’s support for a second term”, the source said.
Another Tinubu loyalist corroborated this story. “The governor was apparently in a nite club on the day and probably got carried away”, we were told.

WAEC Confirms Dancing Senator, Ademola Adeleke, Sat For Exams In 1981

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has authenticated the certificate of the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke.
Adeleke, who currently represents Osun West senatorial district, was recently accused of parading a forged O’level result, shortly after emerging the candidate of the party.
Two members of the PDP, Rasheed Olabayo and Oluwaseun Idowu, had approached the court seeking an interlocutory order to set aside the election of Adeleke as the candidate of the party and to stop him from parading himself as one, insisting that he did not satisfy the constitutional requirements to contest the governorship primary.
At the hearing of the case today, the examination body said Adeleke sat for the examination in 1981. In its affidavit sworn to by Henry Sunday Adewunmi Osindeinde, a Deputy Registrar Head of School Examination Department, WAEC said Adeleke sat for the May/April 1981 at Ede Muslim High School, Yidi Road, Ede, with Centre Number: 19645 and Candidate Number 149.

“APC Adopts Badoo Kingpin As Candidate In Ogun” – Group Petitions

A group, under the aegis of “Concerned Indigenes of Ijebu North (Diaspora)”, has submitted a petition to the national and Ogun State leaderships.
Of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), over the adoption of Oduniyi Adelaja as the party’s House of Assembly consensus candidate for represent Ijebu North 2 (Ifelodun State Constituency) during the forthcoming general elections.
In the petition, dated September 16, signed by the President and Secretary of the association, Adekoya Moshood and Adegbesan Dapo, a copy obtained by INDEPENDENT, Oduniyi, was alleged to be a suspected kingpin of a dreaded Badoo cult group.
According to the association in the petition, which was addressed to the national chairman and copied to the deputy national chairman, national secretary, the legal adviser, the Ogun State chairman and secretary of APC, the House of Assembly consensus candidate, popularly known as ‘Happy’ was said to have been arrested by men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, Ikeja, Lagos, on May 7, 2017, over his alleged involvement with cult the group, notorious for killing several people for ritual purposes in Ikorodu town and its environs.
It added that the candidate, who was granted bail on May 11, 2017, was still under police investigation and still reporting at the Lagos State Police Headquarters, Ikeja.
The group, further alleged that Oduniyi’s hotel situated in Ikorodu, was sealed up by the police, for allegedly running a prostitution ring and harbouring people suspected to be criminals.
The candidate, according to the petition, was said to have fled Ikorodu and relocated to Ago Iwoye, when some human parts were allegedly found on the premises of his filing station.
The group, which observed that since Oduniyi’s announcement as the consensus candidate of the party, suspected cult members, numbering about 50 and who had terrorised Ago Iwoye and Oru in Ijebu North local government, had resurfaced.
It however, appealed to both the Ogun State and national leadership of APC, to investigate and beam their searchlight on the personality of Oduniyi as a consensus candidate of the party.
The petition reads: “We, the above association, wish to draw the attention of both the national and Ogun State leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to the adoption of Oduniyi Adelaja, as the consensus candidate, to represent Ijebu North 2 (Ifelodun State Constituency), at the Ogun State House of Assembly.
“While we are not politicians and not interested in how any party runs its affairs, our concern for peace, progress and tranquility in Ago Iwoye and environs, has made it our responsibility to express our observation, reservation and take our stand, on issues that affect the constituency.
“Thus, we want to state clearly that the Ogun APC House of Assembly adopted consensus candidate, in the person of Oduniyi Adelaja, popularly known as ‘Happy’, is an alleged dreaded Badoo Cult kingpin.
“He was, however, on the 7th of May, 2017, arrested by men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, Lagos, for his alleged involvement in the activities of Badoo Cult, which had claimed many lives in Ikorodu and environs.
“Oduniyi, was granted bail on the 11th of May, but he is still under police investigation as he still reports at the Lagos State Police Headquarters, Ikeja.
“Similarly, his hotel in Ikorodu was sealed by the police for running a prostitution ring as well as harbouring people of questionable character. The prostitutes and the people were also rounded up by the police.
“He later sold his petrol station and fled Ikorodu, after an unconfirmed report that some human parts were found on the premises of the station and he had since relocated to Ago Iwoye.
“It, therefore, came to us as a rude shock when Oduniyi was announced by Ogun APC, to represent us at the Hallowed Chamber. We wonder what kind of law an alleged law breaker would be enacting for the development of Ago Iwoye and well-being of its people.
“It should also be made known that since his announcement as the consensus candidate, over 50 alleged deadly cult members, led by the duo of Femi Olupitan a.k.a ‘Agba Awo’ and Samson a.k.a ‘Agbara’, both who were arrested sometime ago by men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) in Ogun State, for criminal offences, had returned to Ago Iwoye.
“These cultists, who had earlier been subdued in the town, however, got a new lease of life as they went on jubilation galore, smoking Indian hemp and consuming hard drinks in broad daylight, both in Ago Iwoye and Oru towns, to celebrate the candidature of their kingpin. There are pictorial evidences to back this up.
“Subsequently, we want to appeal to both the Ogun State and national leadership of APC, to investigate the above stated allegations and beam their searchlight on the personality of Oduniyi as a consensus candidate of the party.
“Ago Iwoye and its environs have enjoyed peace, progress and tranquility in the recent past, we don’t our constituency to slide back into era of cult clashes, chaos and political killings”.
When contacted on phone by our correspondent to confirm the receipt of the petition, the State Publicity Secretary of APC in Ogun, Wole Elegbede, said it was only the state chairman that can confirm such.
And when contacted, the State APC Chairman, Derin Adebiyi, told our correspondent that he was informed that such a petition was received, but yet to see it.

About 10.073million Nigerians have been moved from poverty to prosperity, the federal government has boasted.
This was announced by minister, Budget and National Planning, Sen. Udoma Udo Udoma today while speaking on arrangements for the 24th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES#24) held at the conference room of the ministry in Abuja.

He said the Federal Government aims to do this by investing in people.
According to him, the government had provided 8.96million school children under the Home Grown School Feeding Programme; over 297,000 poor and vulnerable Nigerians supported with cash transfer of N5,000; successfully disbursed more than 308,000 loans of N50,000 and above under the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) and 200,000 Young Unemployed Graduates Empowered through the N-Power scheme , while over 308,000 had been selected for consideration for the second batch.
‘‘We have taken steps towards moving our people from Poverty to prosperity. Indeed, one of the key priorities of the ERGP is investing in our people.

Hospital Where Dead Babies Are Kept In Nylon Bags & Boxes Busted In Kenya (Photos & Video)

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has today raided Pumwani Hospital and made a shocking discovery of 12 dead infants hidden in boxes and nylon bags.
Sonko made the heart-wrenching discovery after making an impromptu visit at the hospital in Nairobi after a tip-off by members of the public.
They alleged that dead infants were being ferried to a store in boxes instead of the morgue. Others alleged that the management had switched off the machines at the maternity wing leading to the death of the babies.
he management found it hard to explain the death toll and how the bodies ended up in boxes in a store rather than in the morgue.
While one of the institution’s officials insisted that only one infant had died, the governor demanded for a thorough search leading to the gruesome discovery.
“Nimekuambia kuna maiti sita, niko na information kwa nini unaniambia ni moja?
Don’t play with me nikikuja hapa niko na information…So unasema you lost only one, how many dead babies are this? Kwa nini unacheza na mimi?” argued a furious Sonko.
Consequently, the governor has suspended the top management of Pumwani hospital including the entire hospital board.
“I want to categorically state that human life must be respected no matter the case.
Stern action will be taken against anyone found to be sabotaging the good services offered to our mothers and sisters who come to deliver in this facility,” he posted.
He arrived at the hospital in disguise having ditched his official motorcade for a boda boda.

Ajimobi Shuts Down Obasanjo Farms, Banks, University Press, Others In Oyo

Oyo State Government is not leaving any stone unturned in its aggressive tax drive as it has continued to shut down major business outfits that are defaulting in the payment of taxes.
Among the companies shut down today is Obasanjo Farms located at Oluyole Industrial Estate, Ibadan, which is owned by former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Also affected are banks, MRS oil, Black Horse, Heinemann Educational Books, Lister Flour Mills, University Press Limited, Evans Brother, Brooking House, Group Medical hospital, Butterfield bakery, Chicken Republic and Rasmed publicity.
Some of the affected companies are located at Dugbe, Eleyele, Podo, Challenge, Onireke areas of Ibadan.
The exercise coordinated by the Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue, OYBIR, is being carried out by the combined task force team of the Oyo State Inter-ministerial Enforcement Unit.
Speaking on the exercise, OYBIR Chairman, Mr. Bicci Alli pointed out that the exercise became inevitable because of the failure of the affected companies to comply with the state tax laws after given the opportunities to do so. He appealed to the affected companies to do the needful so as to have their businesses back on track
According to him, “the exercise we carried out today is not something new and not outside the law. It is within the law. We went to restrain some corporate organizations that failed to pay what is due to Oyo state government after giving due notices, demand notices and even public notices to that effect and they failed to pay. So we went to those places to distain them from having access to their premises and it’s going to be a continuous exercise, all through the week and even next week.
What they are guilty of is the payment of the environmental development levy. Some of them owe about two years. We wrote to them and gave them notices to pay, they refused to pay.
It was as a result of their failure to pay that we now embarked on the needful. But it’s so sad that not until we have to take this step against the firms that they are now actually coming out to pay”.
He concluded, “Government is not interested in disrupting the business of these corporate organizations, the business of government is to create an enabling environment for business to thrive which Oyo state government has done tremendously well in the last few years and that’s why you see businesses springing up on daily basis in Oyo state.
The government cannot disrupt their businesses unless where it is absolutely necessary. The focus now is that we will collect every kobo that people owe the state government, we did publication on August 13, in two widely read newspapers, drawing the attention of corporate organizations and individual residents of Oyo state to pay all their taxes, dues and levies that they are supposed to pay to the state government within 14 days.
But that was like a reminder, prior to that: we served demand notices in line with extant laws on corporate organizations, individuals to pay their taxes. Some of the taxes are due early January, February, March, depending on the position of the law.
However, when they failed to pay, we did the reminder in line with the position of the law and we now did a public notice on 14th August, giving them 14 days to be able to pay. So, nobody could tell us that they were not informed”.

Fayose on Adeosun ‘Why EFCC did not Placed Adeosun Name on Watchlist?’

Ayodele Fayose, the incumbent governor of Ekiti State, has queried why former Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun, was not been watchlisted and prevented from leaving the country.
Mr. Fayose made the query in reaction to reports of his name been watchlisted by security agents in a bid to prevent him from escaping from prosecution of alleged abuse of office, money laundering, among others.
Mrs. Adeosun who recently resigned after months of allegations questioning the genuineness of her credentials admitted she was parading a fake certificate. She instantly flew out of the country few hours after she stepped down.
The governor who earlier described the development against him as political said he was not going to quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite the intimidation.
Fayose had earlier wrote the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) notifying the anti-graft agency of his intention to appear before it at the expiration of his tenure next month.
But the anti-graft agency is said to be working on clues that the governor’s plan to appear before its team may be a decoy hence the need to watchlist him.
In a statement on Sunday, by Lere Olayinka, his Special Adviser on Communication and New Media, Fayose said the EFCC and the APC-led Federal Government were reckless.
“This is the same APC-led Federal Government that allowed Kemi Adeosun who forged her NYSC certificate to resign and leave the country immediately, but it is now placing alert on customs against Fayose. What happened to the alert that should have been placed on Kemi Adeosun? Mr Olayinka queried.
“Governor Fayose has written to the EFCC that he would appear at their office by 1pm on October 16. They should wait for him, he is not afraid and not a coward like them who are afraid of just anything.
And we want to say that they should not waste their time and also not use the hushed up alert to customs to steal from the Federal Government coffers. Their case is like that of cow thieves running after fowl thieves.
“Governor Fayose is not afraid of any of them; he will appear as promised on October 16. They wrote a letter to the governor that he should appear on September 20 but by section 308 of the constitution, Governor Fayose still enjoys immunity against criminal prosecution until October 16, and when that garment of immunity is removed, Governor Fayose will present himself as promised on October 16 at 1pm,” he added.
Since 2007, Fayose has been having a running battle with the anti-graft agency. A new twist was however introduced to it in 2016, following the discovery that the governor, had allegedly benefitted from the alleged arms deal scandal, amounting to N1.3bn, which he was alleged to have received from the then minister of state for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro to prosecute his election in 2014. Obanikoro has since joined the All Progressive Congress, (APC).
Fayose’s party, the PDP, lost the July 2018 governorship election in Ekiti State, to the candidate of the APC, Dr. Kayode Fayemi. He defeated PDP’s candidate and outgoing deputy governor, Olusola Kolapo, to win the race.
Barely 24 hours after the election was won and lost, the EFCC, had in a tweet noted that with Fayose’s tenure ending in less than three months, he should be preparing to visit the Commission.
The Commission intimated that investigation into Fayose’s alleged N1.3 billion poultry project during his first term would be reopened so as to continue the prosecution.

“The parri (party) is over; the cloak of immunity torn apart and the staff broken. Ekiti Integrated Poultry Project/Biological concepts Limited N1.3bn fraud case file dusted off the shelves. See you soon,” the EFCC had tweeted.

2019: Ex-generals, Governors, Ministers Regroup To Battle Buhari

Some prominent leaders from the North have assembled to kick President Muhammad Buhari out of office come 2019.
The plan, according to elder statesman, Tanka Yakassai, is to produce a more credible and acceptable presidential candidate from the region.
Some members of the movement are mainly retired military chiefs, former governors, ex-ministers, senators and other top public office holders.
Speaking with the Sun about the movement and the plan to sack the current administration, Yakasai dismissed the claim that the entire North are for Buhari, saying, “I don’t know how you came to that conclusion, because other aspirants are expressing their wish to contest, people are still aspiring.
“The question of someone becoming a consensus candidate for a whole area of the north does not make sense. “In addition, the rule of multi party democracy, there will never be a consensus candidate anywhere in Nigeria or anywhere multi party is practiced. Otherwise the merit of multi party democracy is defeated.
“And that does not go with democracy if you come up with a consensus candidate. Consensus candidate means killing competition. Competition is the livewire of democracy.
“Those who are elected particularly at the presidential level owe their allegiance to the people who got them into office and not the voters. We want to change that narrative.
“We want the election in the future to be based on programme and manifesto, we want the election to be credible and through a verifiable process that would change the life of the people for the better.
“To do that, you have to come with your own programme and your own manifesto, not a manifesto written by hired Professors or Doctors because of their command of English that can impress people.
“Our focus is election related matters. We want our votes to have values. After an aspirant is selected, the person can now face us.
“We decided to visit all our former Heads of state who are of northern extraction. We wanted to visit first, former Head of state, General Gowon, unfortunately he was not in the country and we wrote a letter to his office to tell him about the emergence of the organization and he has not been back yet.
“As we were waiting for him, we had to go to Minna to see former Heads of state, Babangida and Abdulsalami. We found out that Abdulsalami traveled since January and would not come back soon but Babangida said he was around, we decided not to kill time but to go and speak to him.”
He assured that the group will also be meeting Obasanjo soon. “We will do it. The programme is still on and you will hear from us. We decided to go to whoever is available. It was by sheer interest that we found Babangida available.
“Our plan was to start with General Gowon but he was not available, even Abdulsalami that we wanted to do with Babangida was not around,” he said.
According to the Sun, some of the prominent retired Generals on this mission include Gen. J.T Useni, Gen. John Temlong, Gen. India Garba, Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi, Gen. E.T Nienge, Gen. Laurence Onoja, Gen. M.D Chong, Col. Habibu Shuaibu, Navy Commodore Isaac M. Mankilik, Commodore D.T Hinga, Commodore Mainasara B. Kaoje and Maj. Hassan Zara.

‘What Will Happen To Ali Modu Sheriff On His Defection To APC’ – Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani Kayode, the former minister of aviation has reacted to the plan by former factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to defect to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The leadership of the APC had on the report that Sheriff was set to join the Party, asked him to join from his ward.
Reacting, Fani Kayode blasted Sheriff, describing him as an ‘unconciable filth’ and a betrayal.
He stated that Sheriff will be crushed upon defection.
The former minister wrote “Thank God that the reprehensible reprobate and unconciable filth called Ali Modu Sheriff has finally crawled back to the hole that he came from.
“His name is synonomous with treachery and betrayal.
“History will savage him and posterity will strip him bare and crush him.”
Meanwhile, thirty-four State Chairmen under the defunct Ali Modu Sheriff-led caretaker committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday formally defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
