Investing.com - Ross Stores (NASDAQ:ROST) reported second quarter earnings that beat analysts' expectations on Thursday and revenue that topped forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $1.14 on revenue of $3.98B. Analysts polled by Investing.com forecast EPS of $1.11 on revenue of $3.96B. That compared to EPS of $1.04 on revenue of $3.74B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.15 on revenue of $3.8B in the previous quarter.

Ross Stores shares lost 2.77% to trade at $104.43 in after-hours trade following the report.
