
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Japanese Economy Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said on Thursday he would continue trade talks the following day with his U.S. counterpart Robert Lighthizer, saying they were making progress in their discussions.
Motegi was speaking to reporters after the second day of talks aimed at narrowing differences on agriculture and the auto sector.
"Discussions are getting closer to reaching a conclusion," he said.
